Yep, that's it... Clan of the Cave Bear is good, but the rest of the series sucks.

We don't have opinions. Nope. And, you have A Game of Thrones repeated under George R.R. Martin. It's the first book in the A Song of Ice and Fire series, with the rest following, obviously.
OH. I have some manga titles to recommend, too, if you'd like... ^~^

So I do... -fixes-
I'm all ears for manga. I like pictures. ^.^ I've never read manga before, but a handful of my friends do, so... Well, I've read the warriors manga, but I don't think those count. I liked them anyways. ^^

Yeeeah. Leafy's kinda right. I read some stuff that seems normal to me, and maybe just a hair odd to Leafy, but to you all? It might just scare you to death. [-coughyaoicough-]
AAAAAAAnyway.
Most manga, you can either get in a library, bookstore, or online. Online tends to be best, because it's FREE, there's tons of manga, and, let's face it, some series I'll be reccommending today aren't available in the US, just Japan (I don't read Chinese or Korean manga), so it's scanlated (scanned, translated, and edited into english [illegally]) for your viewing pleasure.
The "safe" titles I know of are: -Lucky Star (find it online, it's not available in the US) -FAKE (>__> Leafy, you read this, right?) -Aoi House -Aoi House in Love (Sequel to Aoi House) -Hetalia: Axis Powers (Historical comedy about WWII, online only [SOUTHERN ITALY'S A WUSS!]) -Pokemon Special (pretty much anywhere; Best of Yellow or Best of Red's what I recommend) -Kaze Hikaru (online or in stores; historical romance taking place in feudal Japan) -Naruto (..need I say much?) -Death Note (PURE. WIN. And, a total mind asplosion. It seems violent, but it's more psychological than anything)
And then, in anime, there's Neon Genesis Evangelion (as a friend put it: IT WILL SCREW YOU UP FOR A COUPLE DAYS. If it doesn't, you are a heartless robot; watched the english SUBBED, not dubbed, because the dub is FAIL), The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya (lulzy), and...yeah.
That's about all I've got. Oh, and in books: Tales of the Otori series, by Lian Herne Little Sister by... someone.

Oh wow. Which of those is... least likely to scare me off? Preferably not an online one. I like paper...
Sorry, Foxx, I don't think I'm a fan of Stephen King. I couldn't make it past the first chapter of Gunslinger, and I couldn't get through The Dead Zone either (as I already said).
Has anyone read Meyer's new (is it still?) book, Host? I got about halfway through before I couldn't handle anymore. "Oh, David, how I love you! If only I weren't an alien, maybe you would still love me back." -gags- The beginning was pretty good, before the alien fell in love. Then it was all the same.
I barely made it through The Subtle Knife. I don't think I can do The Amber Spyglass. Those are the second two books of The Golden Compass series, for those who don't know. It bugs me how in the books they outright wage a war on religion. It's so blunt and untactful.

Well, no wonder, Hidden -- I couldn't make it past Gunslinger OR Dead Zone... lol.
It takes patience and an extreme amount of boredom to get into some of his things, I'll admit. xD

Lucky Star is actually very sweet and funny and tame. It's humour. Umm... Naruto probably won't scare/scar you, nor will Hetalia, Pokemon Special, or Kaze Hikaru.

-squints- I wonder when the last time I read a good book on my age level was... /:
I just read Maggie Bean Stays Afloat. -shrugs- I like cutesy books or intense ones.
I was considering reading the new one by Meyer, but after that quote, it looks gaytastical.
Mehhh.

Well, you never know, you might like it... I mean, there were certain parts that I liked about it, like the alien's internal struggle and stuff. But then the "I love David" side won, and from there on out it got pretty dull. I'd recommend the first 100 pages though. =P

lol. Also sounded good until that quote. Internal struggles! Yay!
I would recomend Aoi House, but that might scar you just a little Hidden. Dunno. Opinion Diz?
And yes, now I need to read Fake.
Never got through Subtle Knife. Am trying though! Really!
Hm... Good Stephen King..... Jurassic Park? Has much more of a story than the movie, and more science! And ...... VELOCERAPTORS!!!

No, I couldn't get through that one... plus, I don't think that's Stephen King, is it?
"Misery" is easy to get through, and so is "Pet Sematary". So is "Needful Things", "Everything's Eventual", and "Cujo". And... uh... "Firestarter" is amazing... but the best one, I think, is "Bag of Bones", and it's exceptionally absorbing...
